The Scottish Karate Federation has secured one of Edinburgh’s most recently built and modern 4 star hotels as the “37th Wado Cup” Event Hotel. The Novotel in Scotland’s capital city will accommodate all our visitors at this annual and prestigious event.

All Hotel Balance must be paid in full prior to 25th September.

The hotel is currently full and because there is a large waiting list, rooms will be released after this date.

This venue has been chosen to offer convenience for your arrival, security for our visiting youth, excellent facilities for all our visitors and many extras included and still at a reasonable price, giving excellent value for money. The hotel has a number of double, twin and triple rooms and they are now available to reserve or book in full at hotel@skfscotland.co.uk. The Scottish Karate Federation have negotiated the following rates which offer a fantastic package of extras exclusive to the hotel when booked through us.

Double Room £50.00 per person per night (based on 2 sharing for 2 nights)
Twin Room £50.00 per person per night (based on 2 people sharing for 2 nights)
Triple Room £35.00 per person per night (based on 3 people sharing for 2 nights)*
*Triple rooms have one double and one single bed. Two occupants will be required to share the double bed.

So What Is Included When You Book?
Free: Airport Transfers for all our guests arriving on Friday 30th October 2009 at Edinburgh International Airport to the hotel
Free: Use of the hotel Swimming pool, gymnasium and health suit, again exclusive to our guests.
Free: Coach travel between the hotel and Meadowbank International Sports Arena, The venue of the competition on Saturday 31st October.
Free: Access to our Sayonara Party which will be held within the hotel on the evening of Saturday 31st October including a 4 star buffet and entertainment.
Free: Return Airport transfer from the hotel to Edinburgh International Airport for all our guests departing on Sunday 1st November.

Full payment of outstanding balance must be made payable to the Scottish Karate Federation no later than Friday 25th September 2009. Full payment instruction will be available at the time reservations are made.

Event Administration:
As well as first class accommodation, the hotel will also accommodate all our administrative needs:

Kata Course: The Kata course will be held within the novotel at 2.00pm on Friday 30th October.

Dan Grading: This will also be held within the novotel on Friday 30th October.

Congress Meeting: The congress meeting will take place in the novotel and it will begin at 7.00pm.

Referees Meeting: Member countries are invited to attend the competition with official’s whether they be Referees or Judges. The pre-event referees briefing will begin at 6.00pm within the novotel and this will be hosted by our Internationally Qualified Chief Referee for the competition.

Weigh In: The weight in will be in the novotel and will be available between 5.00pm and 8.00pm on Friday 30th October.

This will allow for any administrative corrections that have been identified prior to the competition on Saturday. Any guests who anticipate a late arrival should advise me by e-mail as soon as possible and we will endeavour to make special arrangements.

Local Transport:
The Scottish Karate Federation has secured the services of a local transport company that will assist with the transport to and from the Sports Arena andthe novotel.

The first coach will leave the novotel at 8.00am on the morning of Saturday 31st October 2009 and all competitors, officials and visitors will arrive at the sports arena before 9.00am for a 9.30am start to the competition. Return transport will be provided 20 minutes after the last medal presentation.

While visiting members are welcome to make their own arrangements, this return facility is included free with your accommodation at the novotel.

Sayonara Party:
Our Sayonara party will be held within the novotel from 9.00pm Saturday 31st October 2009 till 1:00 am. This is free to Residents within the Novotel however there will be a charge of £15.00 per person for non residents.

Coach Hire:
We are happy to arrange transfers for any of our guests arriving into any other location. Please forward you arrival and departure details to hotel@skfscotland.co.uk and we will obtain a competitive quote on your behalf.

Additional Stay:
Should you require to arrive at the Novotel prior to Friday 30th October or stay on longer than Sunday 1st November, we are happy to obtain a quote to accommodate your additional needs. However, we cannot guarantee availability and any request should be made as soon as possible.
